This video came to life through the hard work and vision of so many people. Joe Greco and I were talking over a year ago and I was telling him about my desire to somehow create a beautiful visual that would go with my song and include people from all walks of life, children, animals, old people every being!!! So many people sent in wonderful photos and we were not able to include them all so I will regularly be creating slide shows to showcase and share these photos. Keep them coming!!
That was all it took. Joe was off and running! He and Francesca, our magical producer, went to work and put together an incredible team, including the amazing Haskell Wexler who wanted to be involved because he loved the positive message of "Hope Is A Thing" Francesca found the wonderful "co-star" of the video, Christopher, who is in real life a photographer! So to all of you who helped with cameras and the jib, and make up and listening to me talk a mile a minute about all my ideas....and then helping me sift out the good from the bad!! Thank you thank you !!!
And isn't the space incredible.....apparently Sarah McLachlan's director thought so too! She came by while we were shooting and Sarah's new video is shot in the same warehouse in downtown LA! Great minds think alike! ....and I haven't even mentioned John and Clare and Michelle and Jake and all the folks at Picture Head who work tirelessly on this project. From the bottom of my heart I thank you.
